Call of the Wild Zoo is committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with our obligations under data protection legislation. This privacy policy explains what information Call of the Wild Zoo collects about you and how it will be used. 

Call of the Wild Zoo promises to respect any personal data you share with us.

Where and how we collect your information

We collect information in the following ways.

Information you give us

For example, when you make a purchase with us for Zoo tickets or animal experiences, give a donation or register for an event we will ask you for your personal information for us to process your purchase or donation or help arrange your event. This information includes contact information and payment information.

Every effort is made to maintain your confidentiality when securing an online payment via our booking systems. This includes the confidentiality of your card details and other personal information.

We are unable to accept responsibility for any errors or omissions and reserve the right to amend any part of it if such alterations are thought necessary. We reserve the right to change our prices without prior notice provided that such changes are notified to you before you book your visit.

We may ask for information about yourself when purchasing tickets or products through the website. By submitting information, you consent to the use of the information as set out in this policy. Some of the information we may record are detailed below:

  • Your full name and your title or an indication of the gender that you most closely associate with

  • Birth date or alternatively a relevant age range

  • Postal address

  • Telephone number(s)

  • Email address

  • Records of your correspondence with us

  • Records of your purchases from us

  • Bank or credit card details (if you purchase tickets via the website)

  • Dietary, accessibility, and mobility information

  • Medical history and treatment details if you receive first aid whilst visiting Call of the Wild Zoo.

  • CCTV footage of those visiting our premises



We collect such Non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes:

  • To provide and operate our services.

  • To provide our users with ongoing customer assistance and technical support

  • To comply with any applicable laws and regulation

All personal information that we collect about you will be recorded, used, and protected by us in accordance with applicable data protection legislation and this privacy policy.

Direct marketing

Email/text marketing/post

We will only contact you by email or text message for marketing purposes if you actively consent to this, unless we believe there is a legitimate interest to contact you. By consenting to Call of the Wild Zoo emails or opting in to email communications, you grant us permission to use your email address to send you email marketing communication. At any stage you may choose to opt out of such communications – more information on opting out is available on request. Please note that, even if opted out from marketing, we may still need to send you service communications from time to time.

Post/Telephone marketing

If you have provided us with your personal email address or telephone number, we may contact you by email or telephone about our work or events, unless you have told us that you do not want to receive this.

Where you are registered with the TPS we will only make calls to you if you have specifically consented to receiving calls from Call of the Wild Zoo or if we need to contact you about a purchase, for example if there has been a problem in processing a payment the date of an experience or to notify you that your annual membership expiry is imminent within 30 days of an expiry date. Likewise, if you are registered with the Mail Preference Service, we will only write to you if you have specifically consented to receiving letters from Call of the Wild Zoo.
